How to get URL parameters using javascript

Here's a nifty function I wrote up that let's you get a URL parameter's value:

Using it is very simple:

var userid = queryString('userid');

Or...

if (querySting('myParam')){
  //parameter exists
  return queryString(''myParam');
} else {
  //parameter not present, rather than returning "false", let's return empty
  return "";
}
